|
|
When I setup Gentoo about 2 weeks ago or so, I downloaded xfs-sources, and got linux-2.4.19-gentoo-r7, which is patches with several performance improvements, such as preempt, etc, and of course, XFS support.
However, if I emerge xfs-sources now, I just get a vanilla 2.4.18 kernel with XFS support patched in.
How do I get the updated versions of the XFS kernel with the misc performance improvements patched in?
Regards

Those were the gentoo-sources and not the xfs-sources as you see on the 2.4.19-gentoo-r7. There is no newer Gentoo Kernel than this ATM. |

Well, I thought about that, but the installation docs specifically mention that the gentoo sources don't have XFS support, while the sources I got obviously do. _________________ //Sunner

The install doc is somehow out of date and misleading about XFS. gentoo-sources r7 includes XFS support. _________________ There's someone in my head but it's not me - Pink Floyd |
