I'm installing a new box. System on sda. RAID-0 on sdb and sdc for storing non-sensitive data. I did not create partitions before assembling nor before creating XFS on md0.
Just wondering. Any benefits using partition tables in case like this?

Only superficial benefits... having a partition table, with a partition type, makes it clear to everyone (be it Windows on another disk, or any live installer linux CD you boot, or any boot loader installer), that this is a properly set up disk and that it's probably supposed to be left alone. Without partitions, some installer software may offer you to format this here empty disk... so it's a bit easier to lose data to accidents.

There are no benefits whatsoever in terms of performance if that's what you're looking for.
