Hi all,
I have a 3dconnexion Spacemouse Wireless which works fine with the wireless dongle. It does not work with the usb cable though. It just blinks on and off as the input node count increases - for example, from dmesg
Code: |
input: 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse Wireless as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb4/4-1/4-1.2/4-1.2:1.0/0003:256F:C62E.0102/input/input269

with the previous being 268, and so on.
I already posted in the 3dconnexion forum about a week or so ago with no response and have asked their tech support (but doubt they will help me, but if they do, I'll post the answer). Any strategies for figuring out what is causing it to connect and then drop repeatedly? I followed the wiki:
https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/SpaceNavigator
but maybe I need something else in my kernel for the battery in the device?
Thanks!

Turns out it is the USB controller in my laptop. When I connect to other computers, there is no problem. |
