If I include the phar use flag, PHP won't build. If I disable the flag, then it builds fine. It's been doing this for months now, and I haven't managed to turn anything up on Google, other than the suggestion to run revdep-rebuild, which I've done several times to no avail.
Error:

Is this also true for emerging PHP 5.3? Could you try the following:
Code: | emerge -aq1 php:5.3 |

Yes, php 5.3 is also broken. It first appeared as a problem with php 5.4.8, and continued with 5.4.9. So I'm guessing that PHP is a symptom, but not actually related to the cause. |

In the snippet you posted above, the build process apparently tries to create an awfully long shell script. It would be interesting what actually happens in line 29143.
Is that file to find in the temporary build directory? If so, could you pastebin it? If not, would you be able to re-create this file (to some extent) by executing the commands manually? _________________ lxg.de – codebits and tech talk |
