Hi all...
first posting here .. Newbie to gentoo; not linux.
How do I install Gentoo from a Live DVD image that I have
running on a USB drive? Are there instructions or documentation
somewhere in the running system? I don't find any scripts or
installer in most any of the usual places that I know of (desktop,
download, /usr/share, etc..) on the Live running system.
I downloaded this ISO from a mirror site given at DistroWatch:
gentoo-linux-12.1-livedvd-x86-amd64-32ul-2012.1.iso
I burned it to an 8GB USB pendrive using <unetbootin-linux-581>.
It boots up just fine on an AMD64 x2 5600+ machine, and after some
cockpit time test-driving it, I have decided that I like it alot.
I want to install it onto a 500GB SATA HDD in this box. I want to
add it to a multi-boot grub setup. There are 3 other OSes already
there: Linux Mint, SmoothSec, and InstaSnorby.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Hi, cuervo73. Welcome to Gentoo.
Have you seen the Gentoo Handbook? The installation instructions are in there. However, there's no installer. You follow the step-by-step instructions in the Handbook to get a basic console Linux up and running. From there, there's lots of help in the Gentoo Documentation Resources, and from these forums.
Lots of people have multiboot set up. What you need to do can be extrapolated from the Handbook but, when you get to the section on partitioning, you can ask about anything you're not clear on here.
