Different types of weapons are regulated differently. Perhaps the matrix of rules needs to be strengthened in certain areas, or perhaps they've been completely ineffective thus far. This is why identifying the types of weapons are important.

Facts are not welcome, just authoritarian leftist propaganda.
All the liberals are running around screaming about guns being the problem here. Divorce, child abuse, substance abuse, limited opportunities for 20-somethings, violence in public culture (TV, video games), ... those are the problems. What's really going on here is that this young man was so hopeless and hurting that he decided to take his own life, and he wanted to lash out at the dysfunctional family and community or society that caused his suffering. Guns are not the only form of violence and destructive behavior young people are engaging in. Instead of talking about guns, maybe we should be talking about what our societies are doing to our children to make them feel and act this way.

indeed. But this is going on in canada and the UK as well, and gun laws haven't softened. |

This anti-gun propaganda and scare tactics are not going to stop until all the authoritarian leftists are rounded up and put in camps (for their own safety of course, in like "gun-free, environmentally-friendly neighborhoods", with 20-foot razor-wire fences around them).
We could call them "LAST CAMPS" (Libertarians Against State Terrorism: Collectivist-Aggregating Maternally Protective Spaces").
