| Meh. I decided that NFC was a solution for a problem that didn't exist. |

NFC seems evolutionary rather than revolutionary. I'm waiting to hear if they solve the eavesdropping problem. _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.

I paid for my entire Christmas food and gifts this year in cash. Heaps quicker than using credit cards with their pin numbers and/or sign, insert or swipe (but not both), magnetic strip that decides it isn't into magnetism on that day etc.
Cashless society is about as realistic as the paperless office. |

'Chip 'n pin' works around here, the card is always done before I'm done packing away my groceries. Far less hassle than dicking around with cash and change and making sure it's right and all that nonsense.

That's funny, because I've noticed that the only reason why we still have paper in offices is because people just wont stop printing shit out. _________________

Cashless society is about as realistic as the paperless office. | I'd prefer to use cash, but I find it difficult for anything out of the ordinary. And that's despite the whole evil tracking and number of the beast issues.
I've found myself using Amazon more frequently (but not for things I've not planned to buy). It is unfortunately convenient, and only occasionally lacking the desired options. And for $100+ purchases, CCs are much, much more convenient that cash. I really wish it weren't so. Oh, and gas. Paying cash for gas would be really annoying. _________________ lolgov. I can't edit on the screen. I like to circle mistakes etc.
about the buses. best get an oyster card. cash payments are twice the payment by oyster card. 1.35 vs 2.70. |

If I'm editing on screen, I just edit when I see the mistake, rather than correcting it later. If I have a more significant fix (such as rewording a whole sentence or few), then I'll highlight the text and move on and go back later to rework. I prefer it since I've made the switch. Generally only printing for "big picture" thinking. _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.
