At AmigaOS, you can experience the different environments AmigaOS, you can set the various OS 1.2, OS 3.1, OS3.9, OS4.0 and OS 4.1.
It is also AEROS, which is when AROS meet Linux. AEROS is a hybrid distribution of AROS and Linux (in the moment debian 6.0 is used) available for ARM and x86 systems.
The R3-ISO is an 4in1 OS. You get access to Linux, AROS x86 (native AROS applications), AROSm68k (AMIGA applications) and WIndows apps (with wine) out of the Box.
The easiest way to try it is with VirtualBox. You will be really impressed by the speed. As example, it take a few seconds to start the distribution, and gimp will start 4 or 5 time faster than the gentoo version.
AROS is a free re-implementation of the AMIGA OS with some ameliorations. Another very good distribution of AROS is IcAROS. The next AEROs release will allow to choose between IcAROS, AspireOS and Broadway X.

| I think they rendered the space scenes in the pilot of Babylon 5 with Amigas. They were neat little machines. |
