Greetings. I'm running
gentoo-sources-3.5.7
xorg-server-1.13.0-r1
xf86-video-intel-2.20.13
mesa-9.0
on an Laptop with Intel GM45 chipset and GMA X4500 graphics.
When I allow the screen to switch off (e.g. xscreensaver activates, entering standby), X becomes stuck in uninterruptible sleep. This only seems to happen when I was running gzdoom (+Brutal Doom mod) prior to switching the screen off.
Code: | PID COMMAND STAT WCHAN
2200 X Ds+ intel_finish_fb |
At this point, the screen is off and won't switch on again. Keyboard input is dead, too. SSH works, but killing X, even with SIGKILL, is impossible. Rebooting hangs at some point (probably trying to kill X). All I can do is sync and power off via /proc/sysrq-trigger over SSH.
This seems to be an Intel driver issue, as it is stuck inside intel_finish_fb. There is no suspicious kernel log or X log.
I can't find anything useful on Google, so I'm asking here. Any ideas? How would I go about tracing/debugging this? |
