Yeah I thought the "If you don't understand this, you've never met Marines..." bit was more than a little superfluous. _________________

I thought comment #43 was funny.

the Mens division. |

It's funny how everybody reads the "Marines", but ignores the "US" hint the Americunts are the stupidest people in the known universe. What we see here is an Americunt mouse that was too stupid to make 3 turns and eat some delicious cheese, it gnawed through the walls for two months, while only feeding on walls and thin air. |

This is posted on our office wall of shame, among some other beauties. Sometimes it's a good strategy. _________________

Sometimes you need a hammer. I am thankful the U.S. Marine Corps is on our side. _________________ Oldthinkers unbellyfeel INGSOC.

Sometimes, even in the IT world, you don't have the time to waste going down a route that might, or might not be, more efficient and instead you have to go the brute-force route that you can be sure will get you there. I hate it when my work goes that way, but a few months ago I was on a project where time was so critical that I was doing OS reinstalls instead of troubleshooting what I'd guess were minor configuration issues simply because I knew exactly how long the OS install would take, ie. it wasn't an open-ended time-frame. Sure I call it the "stupid route" but it does come with a guarantee, which many of those more elegant routes don't come with. _________________
