Hello!

I'm trying to compile nvidia-cuda-sdk-5.0.35 from science overlay. All dependent packages emerged successfully, but the last one doesn't. Here's some info:
emerge --info '=dev-util/nvidia-cuda-sdk-5.0.35'
cat /vat/tmp/portage/dev-util/nvidia-cuda-sdk-5.0.35/temp/build.log

If you need anymore info just let me know, and I'll post it asap.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

do you have an mpi ebuild installed? I would suppose from the overlay would be best. http://packages.gentoo.org/package/sys-cluster/openmpi and http://packages.gentoo.org/package/sys-cluster/openmpi are what iI find in portage.

Thank you very much! Emerging openmpi solved it, and now I can enjoy CUDA SDK :D
Just out of curiosity, how did you know this?

read the error, found out what mpi was, hunted it down in portage with a delay looking for it in the cuda ebuilds, also known as lucky.
