|
|
This question comes up a lot in fora (especially wrt USB drives) and I have seen several answers
1. Unplug/Plug the devices (for USB) and run:
2. If you run udev: Code: | ls /dev/disk/by-id/ -l |
The best way I have discovered to get this info is to run:
Code: | lsblk -o NAME,MODEL,LABEL,FSTYPE,MOUNTPOINT |
It even tells you if it is mounted. |

Moved from Other Things Gentoo to Documentation, Tips & Tricks.
.. and thank you for the Code: | lsblk -o NAME,MODEL,LABEL,FSTYPE,MOUNTPOINT | too, which I have not seen before _________________ Regards,

Computer users fall into two groups:-
those that do backups
those that have never had a hard drive fail. |
