I'm sure that's true. Fascinating machines. If I had the money I'd add that rating as well, but as I'm not planning to make a career out of it, it'd all just be disposable income.

Heh. Lots cheaper here. $200/hr here in metro Atlanta for an R22 plus $100/hr for the instructor.

Yeah the R22 usually costs around $400-450 per hour here with instructor. I didn't go to a cheap school, and I was aware of that, and paid $475 per hour, and then $850 per hour for a R44 training. All I have to say is that my instructors were all great pilots.
