I have KDE 4 and I do not have a full-blown GNOME installation. When I try to run same-gnome, I get the following message:
Code: |
GConf Error: Configuration server couldn't be contacted: CORBA error: IDL:omg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0
GConf Error: Configuration server couldn't be contacted: CORBA error: IDL:omg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0
Segmentation fault

I've tried several solutions I've found by Google but to no avail. Has anyone dealt with this problem before?

I had a similar problem after upgrading glibc. Switching from gvonf-2.32.4 to 3.2.5 solved it for me. |
