When I try to view a large image in Firefox (with Nouveau), the next thing I see is tty1. Xorg.0.log says something about a segfault. If I start X again, it freezes as soon as I try to launch Firefox again, followed by a garbled display. I must then do a physical reboot.

Oh, and the lspci:
Code: | 00:0d.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation C61 [GeForce 6150SE nForce 430] (rev a2) |

Segmentation fault usually means a programming error. I would update my portage tree, build up a recent kernel and upgrade nouveau with xorg. Do you run a current system? |
