I just did this part:
exit # this will exit the chroot
# mount --rbind /dev /mnt/gentoo/dev
# mount --rbind /sys /mnt/gentoo/sys
# chroot /mnt/gentoo /bin/bash
# /usr/sbin/env-update && source /etc/profile
I read that I needed to do a manual yaboot config because I used genkernel.
So I went here: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-ppc.xml?part=1&chap=10#yabootconfig
I typed: emerge yaboot
then: exit
then: yabootconfig --chroot /mnt/gentoo
and it said: yaboot: command not found
So now I'm stuck...
I'm just trying to finish the install asap, does anyone know what I need to do? thanx _________________ GBTN Seduction Art Community http://www.glorybethynight.com |

Can you enter the chroot and perform the steps from in there (make sure /dev and /proc are bind mounted like you had them)?
Probably you take out the --chroot option then. I've never done yaboot but basically you would be doing the steps as if you were (re)installing yaboot from within an existing install. |
