Click here and answer the questions to find out.

Here's my results:

93% Jill Stein
91% Gary Johnson
80% Rocky Anderson
68% Barack Obama
13% Mitt Romney

Just beware the Libertarians are saying the quiz is BS, because it would be impossible to score high with a Libertarian candidate, while also scoring high with candidates from either of the two major parties.

I went through it real quick so some answers I provided could be revised.

I'm a little surprised at the 72% Romney, 67% Republican, 55% Democrat ratings.

Are you European? Europeans have always loved me & I them, probably due to my political leanings & outlook on life. http://www.politicalcompass.org/test identifies me as a 'leftist libertarian.' I take that to mean I am leftist in the true sense of the word, rather than what 'left' means in US political terms. It's odd because I've been in the US south all of my life. I don't think my kind is supposed to be found here.

It's very odd. I think that's why the Libertarians on the Reason website complained about it.

I tried this yesterday already. I always get frustrated at some of the options to the point that I have to stop.

Offshore drilling for example could just as well name the options "I'm a democrat/libertarian/republican voter/green fundi". If I ever read another "ze market should be completely free" type of option I set my monitor on fire. I warned you!

I mean how do you honestly answer this, as a living and thinking person, who is not just trying to voice support for one of the couple of available ideologies on the topic?

Offshore drilling will continue as long as it's profitable. But I don't want that to be understood as a freemarket-sezing lemming answer. The idea that the gubberment can simply ban it is stupid, I think it's wrong for the gubberment to ban it against the will of the people, but I don't want that to be understood as a small-gubberment-sezing lemming answer. I think, however that it is a good idea to stop it, and to reduce the reliance on oil for energy as much and as fast as possible.

For the death penalty question the only answer I could possibly choose is "leave it to the states", but I won't. Because I know what this answer really means: states cling to it out of spite.
I think banning the death penalty is the right thing to do, I think it can only be orchestrated by the federal government, but not against the will of the states.

I'm torn on some of the questions.

For example:

"Should the United States increase our space exploration efforts and budget?"

If money is going to be spent, I'm not entirely opposed to spending it on that effort. But I'd sooner have the money returned to citizens. There's a few like that, where my answer is unlikely to match the justification for their "match."

"Should we limit federal funds to public schools that do not meet performance standards?"
Was probably the toughest. I certainly think schools should be held accountable.

91% Gary Johnson Libertarian on economic, foreign policy, domestic policy, social, healthcare, science, and environmental issues

82% Mitt Romney Republican on economic, domestic policy, foreign policy, and immigration issues

71% Virgil Goode Constitution on economic and immigration issues

58% Barack Obama Democrat on environmental and science issues

52% Colorado Voters on domestic policy, environmental, and social issues.

Parties you side with...

84% Republican
71% Libertarian
56% Green
46% Democrat

I'm skeptical of the Republican thing, but that gets back to the answers to some of the questions and how that answer is interpreted. But I'd also side with leftist wingnut over a right-wing religious wing-nut.

Political Compass uses a two-axis system (like the Nolan chart). In that context, "Left" means "favoring economic authoritarianism as opposed to economic freedom", and "Libertarian" means "favoring social freedom as opposed to social authoritarianism". So, you would be a socially liberal economic authoritarian.

I also fell in that same quadrant, but very close to the center (somewhat libertarian only a cunt-hair left of center). Most of the Europeans in here who took it described themselves as "pretty much centrist" and turned out to be balls-out leftists and somewhat libertarian (except for mcgruff, who turned out to be Kim Il-Sung).
