Hi there.
I've reinstalled gentoo on some brand new hardware, and for some reason, i can't get emerge --info to use my USE flags in make.conf.

For example, this is my make.conf. And yes, it has read permissions for everybody.

fat, threads or ntfs , for example, does not appear on emerge info. i try to emerge gparted, and it doesn't support those filesystems.

what's wrong here?

EDIT:
Also, something seems to be very wrong with ufed.
when i run it, it shows this:
Code:

Use of uninitialized value $dir in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/sbin/ufed line 121.
Use of uninitialized value $dir in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/sbin/ufed line 128.

and it only shows the enabled use flags, with no description.

Rhiakath ... ufed is currently without a maintainer and hasn't been adapted to the new make.conf location. See bug #434672

best ... khay
