Hello,

I have very strange problem and can't find solution online and in these forums. None of my gnome-session-properties programs are starting at startup. I have installed conky, dropbox, skype and some others, but none of them are starting at startup. In terminal I can easily start them.

Oh, I just saw that my gnome-session-properties programs startups with root user. How can I make them start with my regular user? I think I have to add my user in some group that manages startup apliacations.

Glad you got it fixed.
Could you mark the topic as solved?
Also, could you tell us all how you fixed it.
It might help some other user with a similar problem.
Cheers. :D

I changed my startup programs using su and entering gnome-session-properties. That changed startup programs for root, but not for my regular user. I had to run gnome-session-properties in terminal as regular user and add my startup programs again. That solved my problem.

By the way, how can I mark my topic as solved?

Just go back to your original (first) post and update the "Subject" with "[solved]".
Cheers.
