I have a rather cheapo USB remote control I picked up from eBay, which works quite well, despite the fact that it cost me only a few dollars. One thing I haven't figured out is to map its "fullscreen" button to toggle totem's fullscreen (i.e. "totem --fullscreen").

When I ran xev and pressed the fullscreen button on the remote, I got the following sequences.

Code:
KeyPress event, serial 33, synthetic NO, window 0x2800001,
    root 0x151, subw 0x0, time 10372588, (168,-13), root:(616,378),
    state 0x0, keycode 64 (keysym 0xffe9, Alt_L), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 0 bytes:
    XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes:
    XFilterEvent returns: False

KeyPress event, serial 33, synthetic NO, window 0x2800001,
    root 0x151, subw 0x0, time 10372588, (168,-13), root:(616,378),
    state 0x8, keycode 36 (keysym 0xff0d, Return), same_screen YES,
"   XLookupString gives 1 bytes: (0d) "
"   XmbLookupString gives 1 bytes: (0d) "
    XFilterEvent returns: False

KeyPress event, serial 33, synthetic NO, window 0x2800001,
    root 0x151, subw 0x0, time 10372596, (168,-13), root:(616,378),
    state 0x8, keycode 37 (keysym 0xffe3, Control_L), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 0 bytes:
    XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes:
    XFilterEvent returns: False

KeyRelease event, serial 33, synthetic NO, window 0x2800001,
    root 0x151, subw 0x0, time 10372596, (168,-13), root:(616,378),
    state 0xc, keycode 64 (keysym 0xffe9, Alt_L), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 0 bytes:
    XFilterEvent returns: False

KeyPress event, serial 33, synthetic NO, window 0x2800001,
    root 0x151, subw 0x0, time 10372596, (168,-13), root:(616,378),
    state 0x4, keycode 12 (keysym 0x33, 3), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 1 bytes: (1b) "state 0x0, keycode 12 (keysym 0x33, 3), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 1 bytes: (33) "3"
    XFilterEvent returns: False

I'm not sure what I events I'm getting. Is it "ALT + Return" followed by "CTRL + ALT + 3"? More importantly, I'm not sure how to map the key sequences in ~/.fluxbox/keys, so that pressing the fullscreen button does what it's supposed to do. "Mod1 Return Control Mod1 3 :Exec totem --fullscreen" didn't work. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

I ended up mapping a different button for fullscreen, because the key sequence generated by the fullscreen button seems rather arbitrary. Many programs (e.g. Firefox, VLC, etc) use F11 for fullscreen anyway, so it didn't work in Windows either.
