| Already? Is the bitstream finalized yet? Either way, I don't have much faith in it's quality. But I will do my usual encode (Serenity, 3rd chapter, PAL DVD) once a final vp9 encoder is available. |

How will it encode my 576i 50hz MPEG2?
a 2Ghz singole core is enough for decent encoding times, like 3-4 hours for 120 minutes recording?
For the moment I do not re-encode, I prefer to keep the original recording, like 1.5Gb - 5Gb per film. _________________ Truck!!

| It turns out that the bitstream isn't even frozen yet. I like this, as it allows them to at least catch up with HEVC. |
