Hello,

apache2 throws an error when the service is restarted. However, it behaves fine when doing "stop" then "start"
Can anyone help me fix the problem?
Why is this happening when restarting the service, but not when doing stop/start ?

thanks a lot,

Quote:
WebServer ~ # /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
* Stopping apache2 ... [ ok ]
* Starting apache2 ...
(98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address 10.10.10.39:80
no listening sockets available, shutting down
Unable to open logs
* start-stop-daemon: failed to start `/usr/sbin/apache2' [ ok ]

Probably a race condition on restart, probably should file a bug on bugs.gentoo.org...
