tried masking unmerging and all
still the blocks don't go away _________________ reach out a little bit more to catch it (DON'T BELIEVE the advocate part under my user name)

@preserved-rebuild and, for that matter, "emerge --depclean" only really work right on fully up-to-date systems. Does Code: | emerge -uDNvp @world | show any outstanding updates?

gst-plugins-v4l2 does not merge and resulting some packages droping from updates
i have posted it separately
until it is resolved it is going to continue like this , it seems, _________________ reach out a little bit more to catch it (DON'T BELIEVE the advocate part under my user name) |

Don't be sad. You've learned this is a non-issue: one (an up-to-date system) is merely a prerequisite for the other (emerge @preserved-rebuild). You could even mark this thread as [Solved].
