PostPosted: Sun Oct 07, 2012 6:57 pm    Post subject: (SOLVED) sane-backend refuses to compile Reply with quote

My system info:

Must be a bug in the ebuild

kvs40xx%* so is mark as new, and guess who is bugging you ?

try disable this one & retry (as previous version don't have it and you were using sane-backends i suppose you don't own that kvs40xx scanner type, else bad luck sorry)

You might report that to bugs.gentoo.org to have the ebuild fix (hmm, well, if it work without that option of course)

Hey, thanks for the replies, guys. You know, I searched the whole internets and never saw that bug. Go figure. Anyway... not real familiar with sane because I almost never use the scanner, but better to have it and not need it, right? Anyway, how can I disable a single backend at compile? In the ebuild?

Never mind. Figured it out by reading the bug. Just had to use SANE_BACKENDS="backendslist" and leave out kvs40xx. If there's a better way, let me know. Thanks again guys.
