|
|
Hi, I have a problem with my kde desktop
since today, whenever I login, kde hangs on the login background.
After like 2 minutes, the login splash appears and my desktop opens.
I did some research and found this:
Code: | klauncher(2106) kdemain: No DBUS session-bus found. Check if you have started the DBUS server.
kdeinit4: Communication error with launcher. Exiting!
kdmgreet(2100)/kdecore (K*TimeZone*): KSystemTimeZones: ktimezoned initialize() D-Bus call failed: "Not connected to D-Bus server"
kdmgreet(2100)/kdecore (K*TimeZone*): No time zone information obtained from ktimezoned
Server terminated successfully (0). Closing log file. |
I'm not sure though if dbus is the actual problem.
Also:
Code: | # /etc/init.d/dbus status
* status: started |
Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong?
oh right, on my computer are 2 accounts, only my account is affected, the other isn't... |

I'm still not sure what caused this.
This problem appeared after the kde-base/kdeplasma-addons-4.10.3-r1 update, but not sure if that was the cause.
After all, apart from the mentioned errors, there's nothing wrong
I was able to fix my desktop by temporarily removing all config files related to my desktop.
Then, after creating a new user folder, I restored .kde4 and a few others I need.
No delays when logging in anymore |
