Finally
Only trouble is, we'll (UK) probably end up having to pay for legal costs, hotel fees for
relatives etc. _________________ When you break rules, break 'em good and hard |

14 years for processing an extradition order? Shit you'd think the guy was already on death row. _________________ "Confident, lazy, cocky, dead." -- Felix Jongleur, Otherland

Even the EU court of Human Righ (vomit - sorry that always causes a nasty reaction) ts
, possibly the limpest organisation going, could see any impediment to booting him out. _________________ When you break rules, break 'em good and hard |

That's a distinct possibility actually, when there's danger of the
odd honorific going up in smoke, it's amazing how that focuses the mind. _________________ When you break rules, break 'em good and hard |

if the USA would not torture people, would not trample on basic rights and use cangaroo courts, extradiction would go a lot faster.

| Maybe they should try him for piracy, he looks like a pirate with one eye and one arm. On the other hand, he should have been bumped off years ago by MI5. Or told to sling his hook. |

Not in this case, a range of attempts have been made to appeal - now he has health issues
apparently. That's the last thing that could stop extradition.
In fact the EU Human Rights court has given the OK to getting shot of him. _________________ When you break rules, break 'em good and hard |

As long as they are covered from top to bottom, birds are fine. So just get him a miner's canary. He can use it when he is making chemical weapons, if it dies on his shoulder then it's time to pack up for the day. |

Maybe some New Yorker inmates will give him a blowjob.
Far more concerning is the fact that Babar Ahmad was also extradited on the same flight to a torture state. This guy has been accused of committing a crime in the UK, not the USA, but no court has ever prosecuted him due to the lack of proof. He has been jailed since 2004 without ever being charged in a court of law. That is hardly a constitutional democracy protecting itself. |

If you'd have just released him in some third world country, Obama would have just had him killed, nice and neat. But what's Obama going to do with him now? Put him on trial and fuck it up so it's a national embarrassment and hurts his all-important approval rating? Not a chance. Throw him Guantanamo with the other guys he can't figure out what to do with and mercilessly subject him to a well-balanced diet, regular exercise, good health care, television, video games and ample reading material in his choice of languages?
Obama is probably like, "Fuck. Who asked for these guys -- Bush?" _________________ Oldthinkers unbellyfeel INGSOC.

I'm serious. What's Obama going to do with him?
I'll tell you what he's going to do with him -- he's going to talk about him and try to get credit for whatever he can. He's going to say, "I have humma humma blah blah... and I have humma humma blah blah. Now this man will be brought to justice... blah, blah blah," and then the dude will just sit there, eating his well-balanced meals, just like Guantanamo has been sitting there with others eating their well-balanced meals, for the past four years.
Or maybe, like Bill "Slick Willy" Clinton, he will pardon him along with a few bus-loads of other unredeemed, unrepentant, incorrigible, hard-core convicts, in exchange for favors or bribes or something. _________________ Oldthinkers unbellyfeel INGSOC.
