Only trouble is, we'll (UK) probably end up having to pay for legal costs, hotel fees for
relatives etc.

Maybe they should try him for piracy, he looks like a pirate with one eye and one arm. On the other hand, he should have been bumped off years ago by MI5. Or told to sling his hook.

Far more concerning is the fact that Babar Ahmad was also extradited on the same flight to a torture state. This guy has been accused of committing a crime in the UK, not the USA, but no court has ever prosecuted him due to the lack of proof. He has been jailed since 2004 without ever being charged in a court of law. That is hardly a constitutional democracy protecting itself.

I'll tell you what he's going to do with him -- he's going to talk about him and try to get credit for whatever he can. He's going to say, "I have humma humma blah blah... and I have humma humma blah blah. Now this man will be brought to justice... blah, blah blah," and then the dude will just sit there, eating his well-balanced meals, just like Guantanamo has been sitting there with others eating their well-balanced meals, for the past four years.

Or maybe, like Bill "Slick Willy" Clinton, he will pardon him along with a few bus-loads of other unredeemed, unrepentant, incorrigible, hard-core convicts, in exchange for favors or bribes or something.
