Hello.
I am coming with the follow problem. I've got a lexmark x2650 all-in-one printer. Today I tried to scan a picture. As you may guess it failed. The "printeroscanner" is connected with a USB cable.
Here you got some output of the scanner unit.
$ uname -a
Code: | Linux localhost 3.3.8-gentoo #3 SMP Thu Sep 27 14:36:22 CEST 2012 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux |
$ lsusb | grep Lexmark
Code: | Bus 002 Device 004: ID 043d:011d Lexmark International, Inc. |
$ sane-find-scanner -q
Code: | found USB scanner (vendor=0x043d [Lexmark], product=0x011d [ 2600 Series]) at libusb:002:004 |
$/# scanimage
Code: | scanimage: no SANE devices found |
I am pretty sure that I have a good setup. I am also an owner of a Canon CanoScan LiDE 20. He is working properly. I think that is something with the driver/support for Lexmark. I heard a rumor that Lexmark isn't supported as well as nvidia.
PS. I haven't tested the printing unit due to that tommorow is my first day studying at a university! I will add later. Maybe the day after tommorow (depending of my classes (do I look nervous?)).
PPS. Sorry for my english. Still in construction! _________________ Gentoo user, kinda like everybody here |
