Quote:
Microsoft has agreed a deal to buy Nokia's mobile-phone business for 5.4bn euro ($7.2bn; £4.6bn).

Nokia will also license its patents and mapping services to Microsoft.

The companies said in a joint news release that the deal will be finalised in early 2014, when about 32,000 Nokia employees will transfer to Microsoft.

Nokia went down the shitter when they decided to outsource their own product development, the part of the company that made them big. Since then, it has been a painful demise through the sewer. Sad, indeed.

Microsoft and Nokia are like leftovers on a dating site.

Stephen Elop stepped down as Nokia CEO to become Microsoft's chief in devices and services business and is tipped to be Microsoft's next CEO.

I'm not sure what MS would have done with Maemo...

You know, Nokia could've turned this around, without Microsoft. I mean they had so many options, they were sitting on a pile of cash, new OS, old OS, Android, BlackBerry etc.

I was trying to be clever, mixing prostitute and proselytize, prostitute and necro. And while I might have eventually come up with something clever and amusing, I realized there was already a word: capitalism.
