Machine is a Fujitsu Lifebook t4215, <1 week old install, mostly stable. can get sound through headphones only, not speakers.

any idea's? I spent until about 0300 trying to fix it, followed multiple suggestions online, but still only through headphones

upgrading to unstable alsa-* solved it
