It's not Orwellian at all. You might want to read 1984, or even better, if you want a book that actually reflects reality, Huxley's A Brave New World.

| that question seems to lump together two separate things. Islam != set of muslims. There is islam the idea (I guess the compilation of ideas in the quran and a few other sources) and the other set are a group of people who apparently adhere to those ideas. |

I understand the grammar perfectly fine and regularly make the mistake, I just usually catch it and fix it because it is a pet peeve.

Ok, so the question really is, are you such a victim of propaganda where being accused of bigotry when you are simply acting in accordance to reality is something you should feel awkward about?

While not all Muslims are terrorists, nearly (and I mean 99.9%) all terrorists are Muslim. To be aware of this is to be considered suffering from a mental disorder? To acknowledge reality is now consider a form of insanity?
