Just running top in a terminal window, nothing else happening, my installation shows X taking 2% to 5% CPU. An older, un-upgraded installation on the same machine shows X taking 0.0% to 0.7%. The two installations boot from the same kernel. ATI Radeon Express 200M graphics. Any ideas ? _________________ Michael Mounteney
