Hi guys....
.... I was interested on try Sabayon linux, because in some computers I had no time to compile a complete system. Some days ago searching about it I found this article:
http://www.jumpingbean.co.za/blogs/mark/convert_gentoo_to_sabayon
This article suggest to add the sabayon overlay with the porpouse to convert gentoo to sabayon..... and then I had some doubts....
Sabayon overlay its a Binary package overlay? So I can install binaries in my system (gentoo).
or
I had only available the packages that came with sabayon for compiling on my gentoo??
thanks....

So, the only alternative would be to install sabayon to have binary packages?
or I can install the package manager of sabayon in gentoo? I suppose this will generate a big mess in the system, not?
Regards. |
