Hello guys, I've got a Probook 4530s and the multimedia buttons (VolUp/Down, Screen Brightness and so on) aren't working... what can I do to make them work?
Thanks! |

Teegrins, GSnake!
Which Desktop Environment/Window Manager are you using?
Are those 'multimedia-keys' used with the Fn-key?
I found this entry in archlinux-wiki, which might or might not be helpful:

Hello!
I'm using XFCE4 and yes, they are operated through the "Fn" button!
EDIT: I read the link but no solutions yet. I've built the hp-wmi module in my kernel but they still don't work..
EDIT2: AAAAAAND SOLVED! My bad: I was trying only the volume buttons without having installed a daemon for controlling the audiocard (volumed) |

It's not necessary to install the volman.
You can bind commands to keys through the xfce settings manager.
See how have I done it. |

I didn't install volman but volumed. Is it the same thing? |

I was wrong. But I didn't install any volmans or volumed. |
