I'm having an odd problem with both dtach and dvtm not knowing about __git_ps1;

Code:

bash:
adam@optitron ~/repos/dotfiles (master) $

screen:
adam@optitron ~/repos/dotfiles (master) $

tmux:
adam@optitron ~/repos/dotfiles (master) $

dtach (dtach -A foo bash):
bash: __git_ps1: command not found
adam@optitron ~/repos/dotfiles $

dvtm:
bash: __git_ps1: command not found
adam@optitron ~/repos/dotfiles $

This is a clean installation of Gentoo (yesterday) and I've made sure to:

# eselect bashcomp enable --global 61

which is demonstrably working in my user account, as seen above.

It seems peculiar to dtach and dvtm... Can anyone provide any hints as to what I might be doing wrong?
