|
|
I have been fiddling with OwnCloud 4.0.7 as a carddav/caldav server for use with my iPhone (IOS 5.0.1).
I have hit a bug where I don't seem to be able to have more than 228 contacts, any more than that and syncs fail. I don't know if it's OwnCloud, or my apache/php configuration.
I am wondering if there are any other alternatives out there and if there are, what the ebuild name is or what layman repository the ebuild is in?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: A corrupt contact entry, see next post _________________ ...Lyall

Solved my problem with OwnCloud.
I had to do a binary search of my contacts (over 200) to track down the problem contact.
It turned out one of my contacts had the following character sequence in the VCARD ADR line.
Code: | ADR;TYPE=HOME:;;36\n^yth St; |
Where the \n was 2 characters but the ^y was a control Y.
This caused my iPhone to fail in sync.
I have had this contact for years and it was originally created on a Sony Ericsson P90, synced through exchange, eventually synced through a Nokia E90 before finally ending up in OwnClound where sync was failing.
It had no problems syncing with the iPhone via Exchange. _________________ ...Lyall |
