[solved] i get sound only with vlc

all others like: firefox, mplayer, kaffeine are silent. did not change anything since yesterday. have no idea what could be wrong.

issue kernel related. with the old kernel i get sound. the difference is that in the old kernel i compiled only 2 or 3 soundcards and not all of them. have to recompile kernel (to get rid of snd_hda* modules)
