3 steps to fix the issue:
1. Directly goto BIOS -> Advanced -> SATA Operation, changed AHCI to ATA;
2. Boot with Windows 7 ISO, selected Repair Booting option to repair the BOOTMBR;
3. Again goto BIOS -> Advanced -> SATA Operation, changed ATA to AHCI;
Then Windows 7 booted happily.

fix log
It is the first time to fix the grub Error 13 issue, so I goooooooogle with the 'Gentoo grub Windows 7 Invalid or unsupported executable format' keyword, there are a lot of [SOLVED] forum threads simply due to the typo of grub.conf, but I double checked my fdisk -l, grub.conf, /etc/fstab, then I tried to emerge update grub 2.x from grub:0, it still throw such error when booting Windows 7. |
