I tried a more conservative set of CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS ("-O2 -pipe -march=native") but it didn't work.

Can someone help me?
Thanks in advance

Thanks, is there a way to set python to version 2.7 only for this package? I mean: is it worth make the whole system step back to python 2.7 from the more advanced 3.2 only for a package?

Using python-3.2 as a default Python interpreter is still not recommended IIRC. There are other packages that may fail to compile, and there are no benefits from using python-3.x

So what abut python 3.2? Should I downgrade python or just wait for an update of mplayer2?

So why the python 3.2 exist? Any pros?

You do not need to downgrade, just do 'eselect python set python2.7'

There are many pros, but most of them are important only if you are a programmer:
http://docs.python.org/py3k/whatsnew/3.0.html
http://docs.python.org/py3k/whatsnew/3.1.html
http://docs.python.org/py3k/whatsnew/3.2.html

For use with portage, you should currently stay with 2.7.

Just for curiosity. May I stick with python 2.7 for portage but (in case) compile a program written by me with python 3?

Of course, just run your program with 'python3' instead of 'python'.

Only remember that most code written for python-2 won't run on python-3 and vice versa - you need to write with a specific version in mind, or use a 2to3 source-to-source conversion tool.

Thanks a lot, issue solved!
Other (last :-)) curiosity.
In case I needed python 3.2 to merge an ebuild (I don't know, maybe in the future I could step into a package that wouldn't compile with python 2.7) may I switch back to the new version (eselect python set python3.2) without problems?
I mean: if I switched back to python3.2 now would mplayer2 (compiled using python 2.7) stop working?

If a package does not need python at runtime (hardly one does), you can switch back and forth, but if there will be a switch from python2 to python3, it most probably would be global - that means it shouldn't happen until all packages are adapted to use new version of python.
