Lately I have the feeling that my wireless comes up late especially since I've got a SSD built in which boots faster. Wicd is set to the boot runlevel and
all the IWLWifi stuff is built into the kernel.
When the desktop is up it takes a while until it's usable because it's waiting for the wireless to come up. Perhaps I'm just impatient but I'd like to have it
up a little sooner. I've already set NTPD to local to keep it from interferering with Wicd.

Switched to NetworkManager. Wireless comes up immediately. |
