Trying to update libreoffice-bin, emerge needs to update glibc first.
The emerge process failed on patching 0068_all_glibc-2.14-glibc-revert-fseek-on-fclose.patch.
After updating patch from 2.5.9 to 2.6.1, emerging glibc-2.15-r2 succeeded.
PS: I wanted to post that bug at https://bugs.gentoo.org/, but I forgot my password an my email provider is broken... |

should also update all the system. It seems you didn't updated all the system if emerging patch and glibc solved the problem...

Please do report a bug (and post the link to it here if possible). I hope you're not completely cut off from e-mail. If it gets really bad, just create a new account.
Do report it. Bugzilla >> Forums in this case, although reporting in some way is always better than not reporting it at all.
