overlayfs for kernel 3.5.x

Hi there,

In this thread I stressed Gusar's patience to get overlayfs running in 3.4.x. Now one month later I'm running into the same trouble with kernel 3.5.x

More exactly is the problem:

I applied the last 9 patches since linux 3.4 and got overlayfs running.

shows me already linux-3.6. There were hundreds of following pages, which seems to me quite impossible to find all the relevant overlayfs patches for kernel 3.5

I wonder if there isn't a "simple" solution possible to patch overlayfs into the kernel sources.

Also, a few days ago a request was posted to the kernel mailing list to have overlayfs included into kernel 3.7. Hopefully it'll happen.

I think I would simply add remote with regular linux kernel, and do git diff between branch overlayfs.v14 and linux-tree/3.5 or something.
