i3 and dmenu

Hi all

I am currently testing out i3 (old wmii user) and am really enjoying the experience.

Now i3 uses dmenu to launch applications and this is not included as a dependency in the ebuild.

Should I report a bug to have it added as a dependency (or a use flag) or how is this normally handled?

It's true that dmenu adds functionality to i3, it is not required for i3 to build or run.

This doesn't seem like a bug to me.
