Hi,

while booting, since some weeks I have the boot process that hangs for about a minute during:

"Waiting for uevents to be processed"

it continues then without errors. I looked around also in some forum posts and most people seem to have problems with drivers or modules not loading.

This is an older laptop, I carry on the kernel configuration since years and it worked. I tried to use an older kernel too I still had and it did not improve, so it is perhaps also an udev problem? If no errors appear on screen and nothing is evident in dmesg, where can I look?

Riccardo

You're another udev victim probably ? http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel/1369384

Try with udev <=172 version
