I'm trying to get the ezcap USB 2.0 DVB-T/DAB/FM dongle to work. My goal was to use it to stream DVB-T broadcast, but first I just would like to verify that I can get it to watch TV in VLC or similar.

The problem is that I can't find any channels. I've hooked up an antenna which gives me a BER of 0 when connected to a hardware decoder box. This box will supply power to the antenna amplifier which I believe the ezcap will not so the signal might not be as strong as with the box, but I would expect it to find something. What I'm trying to scan is the Norwegian DVB-T Riks-TV. Here's the result of the scan:

Code:
vcr ~ # w_scan -ft -A1 -c NO
w_scan version 20120415 (compiled for DVB API 5.5)
WARNING: VDR up to version 1.7.13 doesn't support ATSC.
        Changing output format to 'vdr-1.7.x'
using settings for NORWAY
DVB aerial
DVB-T Europe
scan type TERRESTRIAL, channellist 4
output format vdr-1.7
WARNING: could not guess your codepage. Falling back to 'UTF-8'
output charset 'UTF-8', use -C <charset> to override
Info: using DVB adapter auto detection.
