No matter what FS I try (ext2, ext3, ext4) the system slows to a grinding halt with over 3 GB allocated to the root partition. This happens when I go to untar the latest portage snapshot. I also tried passing "-T small", but that doesn't help much.
Thoughts?
EDIT: I just got to the internal SDHC card. Would help if I popped a 16 GB chip in there instead? |

Have you used temporary FS (in memory by matter of preference) for writeable data or do you use the whole SD card allocated space? _________________ Gentoo addict: tomorrow I quit, I promise!... Just one more emerge...
