I think that I have found a bug in sys-power/upower. I have chrooted to an arm image with user space qemu and I have found that upower (and probably udisk too) needs sys-auth/polkit. All I did was to eselect the armv7a/desktop/kde profile and update world and then emerge kde-meta after some quick autounmasking.
The build process of upower complaint about not being able to link with g_mutex_lock and g_mutex_unlock, probably because the library was not even there.
I resolved it with emerge -1 polkit.
Regards. |

pisiiki,
according to the ebuild of sys-power/upower I currently have in my local portage tree (0.9.16, 0.9.17), there is already an unconditional dependency on >=sys-auth/polkit-0.104-r1. |
