Hi all,
I've tried to select one of the gallery avatars in my profile. I select it, and click the update profile button. I get told it's updated but when I go back it the avatar is not there. Nor is it used on any posts.
What am I doing wrong ?
cio

Hi!
If you're trying to use on of the D&D ones in the galeries they don't work.
Wanted to have one of them too but no way.
The other categories seem to work.

It's always more fun to make your own with php randomizing and beg a friend to host it for you. (Note, mine may change whenever you go from post to post of mine, as long as your browser doesn't cache it.) _________________ Me |

Moving to Gentoo Forums Feedback, seeing as something strange must be happening with those avatars.

I've noticed that my avatar has disappeared, showing only a small page of paper. A few others seem to have done the same. I tried to re-upload mine, and it still didn't work (mine was uploaded from my computer). So, I don't think it's just the D&D avatars... |

I see you have taken my advice. Someone needs to make a service to allow people to do this. _________________ Me |

We moved servers today (back to Gentoo - whee!), and perhaps messed up the permissions on the avatar upload directory. Please try now. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

Hi,
I've tried to upload a new avatar... the following happened:
Code: | Warning: copy(./images/avatars/18535225803f799fcebe9c9.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /var/www/forums.gentoo.org/includes/usercp_avatar.php on line 227

And now all I have is this little red thingie where my avatar should be...
Any ideas?

That one was my fault -- can you try re-uploading and let me know if you still get the same error?
sorry about that.
