Hi,

my processor does not support SSE2, so I need to stick with flash player 10.3.183.18. I know the security implications and can handle it.

The problem is:

wget http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/pdc/10.3.183.18/install_flash_player_10_linux.tar.gz
--2012-10-13 11:55:57-- http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/pdc/10.3.183.18/install_flash_player_10_linux.tar.gz
Resolving fpdownload.macromedia.com... 2.18.34.70
Connecting to fpdownload.macromedia.com|2.18.34.70|:80... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response...404 Not Found
2012-10-13 11:55:58 ERROR 404: Not Found.

Where can I download that tar to put it into my /usr/portage/distfiles manually? Google didn't help.

Thanks!

10.3.183.18 is vulnerable into oblivion. Always get the latest one from here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

At this time the latest is 10.3.183.29, next month there might already be a new version with additional fixes.

Ah, thanks. I thought since 10.3.183.18 is in portage ... well, someone should update that to 10.3.183.29 then.

I made a local 10.3.183.29 ebuild just by copying 10.3.183.18 and it worked right out of the box.

So thanks for the hint, Gusar!
