Hi!
I remerged X and nvidia-drivers and I am not capable anyway to set up xorg-server, after running X -configure, I get this error on the screen:

Code:

Kernel command line: root=/dev/ram0 real_root=/dev/sda5 rootfstype=ext3
Build Date: 28 May 2012  10:09:41PM

Current version of pixman: 0.24.0

Does any of you know, how to solve this problem?!

Last time I had the "Invalid module format" error when I tried to put the nvidia.ko module from the one kernel to the another.

What does the "eselect kernel list" tell? Was the nvidia module installed to your current booted kernel or maybe not?

1. I unmerged the nvidia-drivers
2. unmerged the gentoo-sources, and deleted the folder in /usr/src
3. merged the kernel sources again
4. built the kernel
5. rebooted and set up X with the nvidia-drivers
6. remerged x86-input-udev, x86-input-keaboard and x86-input-mouse

and then the issue was solved in a row.

thanks again!
