Always revising history -- always talking out both sides of their mouth. Now Obama, who put a stop to the pressure Bush and other Western leaders had put on Iran so that he could "Extend an open hand" and "sit down with them without preconditions", and has allowed three years of unimpeded Iranian nuclear progress before finally returning to meaningful sanctions, hopes people are gullible enough they can be bullshitted into seeing his waffling, inaction, and appeasement as some kind of a positive.
| Quote: | Vice President Joe Biden has stirred things up again, this time by giving the Obama administration sole credit for global pressure on Iran to forgo the means to make nuclear weapons.
"When we took office, let me remind you, there was virtually no international pressure on Iran," Biden told a rabbinical group today in Atlanta.
"We were the problem," Biden said. "We were diplomatically isolated in the world, in the region, in Europe."
That comment drew rebukes from Republicans, including the campaign of presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
"All too often, President Obama and his administration have sought to blame America first," said Lanhee Chen, the policy director for Romney. "Yet Vice President Biden's reckless statement today blaming America for -- of all things -- the progress of Iran's nuclear weapons program, has reached a new low."
This comes just a few days after Biden's comments on gay marriage inspired new questions about Obama's evolving position on the issue.
During his speech to the Rabbinical Assembly, Biden defended the administration's policies toward Iran and Israel.
He also appeared to suggest the U.S. would not try to block an Israeli military strike against Iran's nuclear facilities, should that become necessary.
"Were I an Israeli, were I a Jew, I would not contract out my security to anyone," Biden said. "Even a loyal, loyal, loyal friend like the United States." |

@mcgruff: now would be an appropriate time to say, "You can't make this shit up." _________________ Oldthinkers unbellyfeel INGSOC.

Isnt' the title wrong, He was given credit rather than taking it since he (Obama) hasn't actually acknowledge he is responsible
now obama administration taking credit, thats something different. but at the end of the day its just politics speak as they blow their load over any little thing, question is why do you stand in the way and take a full facial every time? _________________ A free press is the unsleeping guardian of every other right that free men prize; it is the most dangerous foe of tyranny. The Obama Administration is now in full campaign mode. There is a reason we have heard practically nothing from Joe Biden since 2008 and he is now suddenly all over the news -- they have given him a script. He has been told, "Okay, here is an exception to our standing order for you to keep your gaff-prone mouth shut; we want you to go talk to so-and-so and say such-and-such (but try to stick to the written statement we are sending you)." So this isn't just some gaff by Joe; this is the Obama Administration speaking (in this case, trying to deceive the LGBT voters as to their real position on gay marriage).
I think the campaign is also why already this week the CIA "stopped a terrorist attack" (although it turns to have been one of their own people), the TSA found a gun in a child's stuffed animal at airport security, and the FBI arrested a dozen or so White Supremacists in racially diverse swing state Florida who were "accused of preparing for a race war" (not sure what crime that refers to, but that was the CBS headline).
Go ahead, call me a "conspiracy theorist", but I find all three of these incidents to be suspicious in that they coincided almost perfectly with the launch of the Obama campaign, and in a weak but theatrically effective manner, serve to justify objectionable Obama policies or spread fear of the opposition. I think we are going to see a full-scale propaganda war, replete with such stunts, staged events, and disinformation (with the nudge-nudge wink-wink cooperation of most of the media). _________________ Oldthinkers unbellyfeel INGSOC.

Tonight, Joe Biden was giving the recorded clues on Jeopardy, and several of them were obvious campaign ads (e.g. one talking about how the bailout of GM worked and how GM is now the top automotive manufacturer in the World). _________________ Oldthinkers unbellyfeel INGSOC.
